The MCCT annual exhibition Print E-mail

From May 26th to July 2nd, the Montreal Centre for Contemporary Textiles (MCCT) presents its annual exhibition with a special focus on the 2010 finishing students.

Sabine Alpers offers an installation in which furniture and objects reflecting her origins and her family history is highlighted.

Johanne Bélanger shows her collection Métamorphose composed of scarfes that can be transformed into shawls, bed jackets and various other items of clothing.

Jennica Charette offers her line of reversible hemp tops which come to life even as they come off the spinning wheel and the loom.

Lena Guézennec unveils the colorful and delicate objects she has woven from vegetable threads to awaken our senses.

Manuella Lecaçon presents a collection of colorful furniture inspired from the traditional patterns of African wax, Indian saris and Creole madras.

Annik St-Arnaud launches her first collection of hats fashioned of alpaca wool and recycled fur. She offers you winter and animal colors that can be worn with panache.

Dagmara Stephan presents a series of textile objects je t'aime trop, an offering to your senses inspired by toys, therapeutic objects, clothing and furniture.
